ELEVATE:
YOUR LISTING
By: Shirley Haugen
An interesting perspective is vital to your listing. The number one
complaint we get from buyers is: They wish they could see the lay
of the land before comitting to visiting a property. With today’s
technology and a little know-how this is now a reality!
Keeping this in mind, all sellers want to get top dollar for their home
and the best way to do this is with professional staging. While
most sellers are aware of the benefits of cleaning, decluttering and
staging the interior of their home, many forget to stage the exterior
of their home. Outdoor living is an integral part of today’s modern
lifestyle and buyers all want a pleasant outdoor space to enjoy.
Even if you’re outdoor space is modest, there’s a lot you can do to
spruce it up when you are preparing your home for sale.
Uncover and clean off your outdoor furniture. If you don’t have
any outdoor furniture, consider purchasing some – even a couple of
chairs and a small side table, can make a small concrete patio space
look more inviting. The good news is, you can take all of your
outdoor furniture with you to your new home!
Make sure front porch and front door are all kept clean,
swept and powerwashed if needed.
Keep yard watered, edged & mowed, both front and
back and keep your flower beds weeded & mulched.
Check paint/stain on front door and touch-up or re-paint/
stain if needed.
Make sure your welcome mat looks new & inviting.
Consider planting seasonal flowers in the beds along
front walk or plant flowers in tall flower pots to place on
each side of the front door.
TIPS - It’s IN to be OUT!
